Pipe Borne Water

The quality of pipe borne water supplied by State Water Corporations, Guma Valley Water Company and SALWACO, has both been assessed by analyzing samples of water collected from different locations for their physicochemical parameters and bacteriological quality. The observed values were compared with standard values given by the World Health Organization for potable water .The quality of the analyzed water is found fit for human consumption

Fishing in Sierra Leone

The Sierra Leone Fishing laws does not permit any fishing vessel to fish within 12 Nautical Miles of the Inshore Exclusion Zone (IEZ). It also forbids vessels to fish on its waters without a permit or flags of convenience. Sierra Leone’s troubles have been further compounded by IUU – vessels engaging in behavior that is illegal, unregulated and unreported. Sierra Leone has one of the richest fisheries in West Africa, but populations have plummeted since the 1980's when fleets from countries as far away as Spain, Korea and the then Soviet Union began to exploit the waters. Today, it is China that accounts for 75% of Sierra Leone’s industrialized fleet. Our aim is to closely work i partnership with the government of Sierra Leone and its local fishing partners within the confinement of the law and ethical practices to reduce over fishing.

Our Company is aimed at the control of plastic to mitigate pollution, waste management and flooding in Sierra Leone. Plastic pollution is one of the serious problems in the earth. It has a lot of negative impacts on the environment. Plastic pollution is mainly caused due the activities of humans, who manufacture plastics and use extensively in daily life, knowing or unknowingly the measures of recycling and disposal methods of plastics. Humans dispose plastics in the environment which in turn pollutes the environment in different ways. Plastic pollution in environment is due to some of the following which can be controlled
